Day 3 - Maitland to Dunedoo

After a healty breakfast of toast and wheeties, we set off for Dunedoo via the Golden Highway which runs between Dubbo and Newcastle.

This highway runs through the towns of Mount Thorley, Jerrys Plains, Denman, Sandy Hollow and Merriwa before reaching our destination at Dunedoo.  We stopped for a bite to eat at Sanday Hollow which went down a treat.

This run is mainly surrounded by horse studs and canola fields.    There is a lot of money dwelling in the fancy horse studs we past with their own guard houses at the front gate.

The Canola is starting to come into bloom and I would imagine in another few weeks the fields will be amassed in golden blooms.   The Canola is so pretty when in bloom and reminds us of our trips to Melbourse down the Hume to see the boys.

Our stop for the night at  Dunedoo is a rather basic caravan park which might I add suits us as we are very basic people. A beautiful sunset for a peaceful nights sleep.
