Day 32
We were a little on edge this morning as we were not sure we could find accommodation in Toowoomba with power. It is still cool here at night and morning and without our diesel heater we are not hardy enough to go without warmth!!
Luckily I sent an email to one of the van parks in Toowoomba and snagged a cancellation so no need to rush to try and make one of the few powered sites at the Toowoomba showground.
Unfortunately, last nights fire attracted what we think were sand flies and as I didn't have my feet covered I am now suffering the consequences. I have forgotten how bloody itchy and painful these bites are and my feet are looking more like a dot to dot puzzle that feet.
We arrived in Toowoomba early as our trip was only about 50klms.
Toowoomba is the second largest inland city after Canberra. However, Toowoomba has retained its country charm with a great urban coffee culture and street art scene. It sits on top of the Great Dividing Range overlooking the Lockyer Valley
As we are here for a few days, the rest of the day was spent doing the household chores of washing, shopping and cleaning.
